Scott Lindsey Launches Lindsey Law, Serving Clients in Fort Worth, Granbury and Surrounding Counties

Scott Lindsey brings nearly 25 years of experience to civil and business litigation, civil appeals, business transactions, estate planning, and probate.

Scott Lindsey has launched Lindsey Law Texas, PLLC, a civil law practice with offices in Fort Worth and Granbury serving businesses, individuals, fiduciaries, families, and other attorneys across Texas.

The firm represents clients in civil and business litigation and appeals, advises businesses on transactions and agreements, and assists individuals and families with estate planning, probate, and estate administration.

The launch marks the next chapter of Lindsey’s nearly 25-year legal career, which has included private practice, service as a staff attorney for the Second Court of Appeals, and leadership within the Texas legal profession both locally and state-wide.

“Over the course of my career, I have been privileged to see the law from several perspectives: representing clients, working inside an appellate court, collaborating with other lawyers, and serving the profession,” Lindsey said. “Lindsey Law brings those experiences together. I want to provide thoughtful, practical counsel, be accessible to the people who entrust me with their legal needs, and continue serving Texas businesses, families, individuals, and fellow attorneys.”

Lindsey founded the firm around principles that have guided his practice throughout his career: careful analysis, candid advice, and thorough preparation.

His civil litigation practice includes business and commercial litigation, breach-of-contract claims, business and partnership disputes, fiduciary matters, and property disputes. His appellate practice includes civil appeals, mandamus proceedings, appellate strategy, error preservation, complex briefing, and trial-stage appellate support.

Lindsey Law also advises businesses on contracts and business transactions and assists individuals and families with estate planning, probate, and estate administration.

Most recently, Lindsey practiced with Boyd, Powers & Williamson, where he represented clients in civil litigation and appellate matters.

“I am incredibly grateful for my years at BPW, for the clients who trusted me, and for the colleagues I had the privilege to work with,” Lindsey said. “Those experiences and relationships are an important and irreplaceable part of my career, and I carry what I learned from them into this next chapter.”

“[Scott has been a valued colleague whose preparation, professionalism, and commitment to his clients have earned the respect of those who have worked with him. We are grateful for his contributions to BPW and wish him continued success with Lindsey Law.]”

Before returning to private practice, Lindsey served as senior staff attorney to the late Justice Anne Gardner at the Second Court of Appeals in Fort Worth, where he worked on civil appeals, original proceedings, and other appellate matters.

Lindsey is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell. He is a past president of the Tarrant County Bar Association and currently serves as an elected State Bar of Texas director representing District 7.

“Lindsey Law is an evolution of the work and relationships that have shaped my career,” Lindsey said. “I am excited about what we are building and grateful to the clients, colleagues, friends, and family who have helped make it possible.”
